Language Access Services

The Superior Court of Solano County is dedicated to ensuring meaningful access to court services for persons with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). The Court provides multilingual interpretation in court proceedings and general language services outside the courtroom.

The Court’s LEP plan is a comprehensive language access plan that increases public trust and confidence in the court, improving the quality of justice and services to the public.

Interpreting Services

Effective January 1, 2015, the Solano Superior Court expanded access to interpreter services. Interpreter services are available in all case types including but not limited to the following:

  • Criminal
  • Traffic
  • Civil Harassment
  • Proceedings to Terminate Parental Rights
  • Dependent Adult Abuse
  • Juvenile
  • Family Law
  • Unlawful Detainer
  • Guardianship
  • Small Claims

Request An Interpreter

If you need the services of an interpreter, you may request one from the court staff. To request an interpreter in Family Law and Civil matters, fill out and submit 333-INT Interpreter Request form.

File A Language Access Complaint

If you have a complaint about access to language services, you may print and submit the Language Access Complaint form below. The Language Access Complaint Form is also available at the Court Executive Office, 600 Union Avenue, Fairfield, California.

The Court takes all complaints about language access very seriously and will address the concerns in an appropriate manner. Please be aware that the Language Access Representative does not have the authority to change or modify any decision made by a judicial officer and that its review of the complaint does not, in any way, affect or extend any applicable deadlines or procedural requirements such as filing motions, appeals, modifications, etc.
