Guardianship Cases
The Solano County Superior Court has created a self-help video to assist petitioners who are filing guardianship actions without the assistance of an attorney. The video is 28 minutes in length and can be purchased in the Family Law/Probate/Adoptions Division of the court for $6.00. The video provides an overview of the guardianship process, from start to finish. It covers the forms to file, the relatives who must be served, how to serve them, and the guardianship hearing.
The website http://www.cc-courthelp.org/ also provides online forms and assistance with filling guardianship cases. Please refer to our local rules of court for local filling requirements.

Ex Parte
Ex parte applications on guardianships are heard by appointment only. If an ex parte application is necessary, please bring the ex parte application to the Family Law Clerks office for screening Monday through Friday by 12:00 noon. To make an appointment or to schedule a hearing contact the calendar clerk.
