Security Screening
Security Screening
The Superior Court of California, County of Solano makes every effort to ensure that visitors to the courthouse have a safe experience. All visitors entering any courthouse in Solano County are required to go through a court security screening process.
Screening consists of placing items such as belts, cell phones, and keys into a container prior to walking through a metal detector. Objects on your clothing or person containing metal may set off the alarm on the metal detector.
Screening may also include a hand-wand inspection. The hand-wand inspection helps the screener to identify what may have set off the alarm on the metal detector.
If you are subject to a hand-wand inspection, you will be asked to stand with your feet apart and the screener will pass the wand over your entire body without actually touching you with the wand.
All bags, laptops, backpacks, fanny packs, briefcases, cases, documents, and containers will be screened through the x-ray machine. It is important that you plan ahead and allow yourself enough time to get through the security screening process.
