Welcome to the Solano Legal Access Center / Family Law Facilitator’s Office. We offer assistance at no cost to people without attorneys. Our staff can provide general legal information, help you understand court processes and procedures, and assist with completing your paperwork.

We cannot give you legal advice – that means we cannot tell you WHAT to do. We may be able to tell you what your options are.
We do not represent any party in a case. There is no attorney-client relationship between you and the Solano Legal Access Center/Family Law Facilitator.
Communications between you and the Solano Legal Access Center/Family Law Facilitator are not confidential.
We may provide services and information to both parties in a case.
We are not responsible for the outcome of your case.
We do not help with some issues, including complicated divisions of property, grandparent visitation, conservatorships, guardianship of the estate, civil harassment and other issues.
Help is available on a first-come, first-served basis at our office located at Room 205 at the Fairfield Hall of Justice. We are open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 12 noon. We are open on Fridays from 8:30 am to 12 noon for assistance with Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse Restraining Orders only.
There may be significant waiting time for walk-in services due to the high demand for our services. Please have your case number (if you have one) with you and a valid government-issued ID.
We can provide brief legal information via email at flf@solano.courts.ca.gov Response time is approximately two (2) business days. Please include your case number when sending an email.
LawHelp Interactive is a program that helps you fill out forms for your case. You can answer a series of questions, print or save your forms and file them with the Court. Instructions for using the program can be found here.
Assistance is available through the Statewide Self-Help Call Center for questions about Family Law, Domestic Violence Restraining Order, Elder Abuse Restraining Order and CARE Act petition.

We offer walk-in assistance with Domestic Violence Restraining Orders at our office (Room 205, Fairfield Hall of Justice) Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 12 noon.
VEST (Victims Empowerment Support Team) advocates are also available at the Vallejo Courthouse on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm for assistance with Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.
