Juvenile Justice Commission
The mission of the Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) is to inquire into the administration of juvenile justice in Solano County.
The Solano County JJC was established under the authority of California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 225 and is mandated by the State of California. The duties and functions of the Commission are stated in Sections: 225-230 of the Welfare and Institutions Code.
It is the duty of the Juvenile Justice Commission to inquire into the administration of juvenile court in Solano County. For this purpose, the Commission shall have access to all publicly administered institutions authorized or whose use is authorized by chapter 2 (Juvenile Court Law [200 – 987]) of the Welfare and Institutions Code, situated in Solano county, and shall inspect such institutions and may hold hearings.
