Solano Superior Court to Celebrate Adoption Day

FAIRFIELD, California: The Superior Court of California, County of Solano, will proudly join courts across the nation in celebrating National Adoption Day on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Hall of Justice, 600 Union Avenue, Fairfield, California.

This event holds a special significance, marking Solano Superior Court’s first Adoption Day celebration in 24 years. Adoption Day will shine a light on the importance of providing safe, loving, and permanent homes for children, while honoring families who open their hearts to welcome a child as their own. Throughout the morning, a total of six to eight adoption cases will be finalized in Dependency and Family Court, symbolizing the creation of new families and lifelong bonds.

“We are excited to join Courts throughout our nation in celebrating National Adoption Day on November 17, 2025. National Adoption Day is an annual tradition where courts, child welfare agencies and communities across the United States work together to finalize thousands of adoptions and honor adoptive parents. These celebrations highlight the importance of providing permanent homes for children in foster care and formalizing the creation of a new family. Adoption Day is a celebration of love, commitment, and the unbreakable bonds that create families. We hope to provide a heartwarming celebration that honors the families that have opened their hearts and homes as well as the dedicated professionals who make these life-changing moments possible” said Presiding Juvenile Judge Dora M. Rios.

Solano Superior Court’s celebration recognizes the collective efforts that help make these life-changing moments possible, including the dedication of judges, attorneys, social workers, court staff and countless support professionals. Their work reflects a shared mission of ensuring every child has the stability and security of a forever family.
Following the hearings, there will be a private celebration honoring the children and families whose lives are forever changed through adoption, featuring heartwarming festivities dedicated to their special day.
