Electronic Filing Now Available For Probate Letters/ Bonds

Fairfield, California – On April 1st , 2025, electronic filing is now available to attorneys and
self-represented litigants in the Probate Division for Probate Letters/Bonds in decedent,
guardianship, and conservatorship matters, including:

  • Letters of Special Administration
  • Letters of Administration/Testamentary
  • Letters of Conservatorship (Temporary and General)
  • Letters of Guardianship (Temporary and General)
  • Bonds

Effective July 1, 2025, and pursuant to Local Rule 20, represented parties are required to
electronically file Probate Letters/Bonds in decedent, guardianship, and conservatorship
matters. Self-represented parties who do not opt to electrically file may continue to have
Letters/Bonds processed in person at the Clerk’s Office or via mail. Appointments are
available in advance for in-person processing by visiting the Clerk’s Office Appointments |
Superior Court of California
