When the court chooses you as a conservator, you are responsible to the court. You take on certain jobs and responsibilities. The court can examine everything you do as a conservator. It’s important that you understand all the duties required of a conservator. You can get more information in the 2016 Handbook for Conservators. The law says you must have a copy of this handbook. You can purchase a copy of the Handbook for Conservators in the office of clerk of the superior in your county. Each superior court will prepare a local supplement to this handbook called the Directory of Community Resources. Ask the clerk of the superior court in your county for the Directory of Community Resources.
