“Who has the right to have an attorney represent them in a Juvenile Case?”

  • The child in Juvenile Delinquency case has a right to an attorney.
  • A parent in a Juvenile Dependency case has a right to an attorney and is provided by the County and if indigent will be provided by the Court.
  • The child in a Juvenile Dependency case will also have a court-appointed attorney.

Billing Guidelines

Appointed counsel billing guidelines for the juvenile division are created for the County of Solano, the Superior Court of Solano County and the private attorneys appointed by the Court to represent indigent juvenile defendants in Welfare and Institutions Code Section 602 proceedings, sets forth procedures for submitting billings. This packet of information includes the juvenile Billing Guidelines, relevant forms outlines how to submit your claims for payment.

Billing Instructions

  • Completed Vendor Claim and Claim and Order for Compensation of Court Appointed Attorney located below.
  • Itemized Invoice indicating the number of service hours , dates and services provided.
  • Original signature on the Vendor Claim and Order for Compensation forms must be in blue ink.
  • Send the below forms original and one copy of each (Vendor Claim, Order and Invoice with original receipts) – no staples please to the Fiscal Services Division as listed below.
