SOLANO COUNTY POWER WOMEN HOST GIRLS ON THE RISE SEMINAR MARCH 14 TO INSPIRE NEXT GENERATION OF WOMEN LEADERS

Free Day-Long Seminar for Women 15-25 Years of Age Offers Exposure to Exciting Career Paths

SOLANO COUNTY (February 2, 2026): Young women will have a unique opportunity to hear directly from women with successful careers in a variety of professions at a free event, Girls on the Rise, taking place on March 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Solano County Events Center.

Presented by the Solano Superior Court and the Solano County Bar Association, 2026 marks the third year Girls on the Rise will be presented in Solano County. The event is designed to provide future women professionals with exposure to influential leaders who will share the stories of their career trajectories and engage in meaningful discussions about challenges and opportunities for women in a variety of professional fields.

“Girls on the Rise is about showing young women what’s possible and helping them feel confident in pursuing a professional career path,” said Solano County Judge Amyra Cobb-Hampton, who has spearheaded the program since its inception. “Our panelists help to demystify success and demonstrate that leadership is attainable for women of all different backgrounds.”

This year’s panels are comprised of legal professionals, including lawyers and judges, medical professionals including doctors and nurses, and others in skilled trade fields. Participants will have opportunities to network with panelists throughout the event.

Retired Solano County Judge Christine Carringer, who founded the Girls on the Rise event along with Judge Cobb-Hampton, emphasized the collegiality of the event and the importance of the connections formed by the participants.

“Many of our program participants are just starting to think about what their futures will look like,” she said. “Our panelists are inspirational yet approachable women who have a lot of helpful advice and guidance, and by sharing their stories, we hope that our future generation of women leaders will be encouraged to follow their dream career path and overcome any perceived obstacles.”

Girls on the Rise is open to women and girls ages 15 to 25 and is free to attend, but space is limited so advance registration is required. Lunch will be provided to participants.
