Family Law/Probate/Adoption
Hall of Justice offers customers the opportunity to schedule appointment times to file Family Law, Probate and Adoption related documents with the Clerk’s Office, without the inconvenience of waiting in lines. Walk-ins and appointments are limited to ½ hour, with the exception of new Conservatorships or Guardianships. Documents for filing shall be completed prior to scheduling an appointment. The Clerk’s Office is unable to assist with the preparation of documents or provide legal advice. Criminal/Traffic
The Hall of Justice in Fairfield and the Solano Justice Building in Vallejo offer customers the opportunity to schedule appointment times to file Criminal and Traffic related documents with the Clerk’s Office, without the inconvenience of waiting in lines. Walk-ins and appointments are limited to ½ hour. Documents for filing shall be completed prior to scheduling an appointment. The Clerk’s Office is unable to assist with the preparation of documents or provide legal advice.
The Criminal Division files, processes and maintains criminal records for felonies, misdemeanors, and infraction violations. Violations for driving under the influence (DUI) are filed with the Criminal Division.
The Traffic Division handles adult (18 years old and over) traffic violations of the vehicle code and other infraction code violations, such as Fish & Game, local city and county ordinances, boating and dog/animal citations.

Civil/Small Claims
Old Solano Courthouse offers customers the opportunity to schedule appointment times to file Civil and Small Claims related documents with the Clerk’s office without the inconvenience of waiting in lines. Documents for filing shall be completed prior to scheduling an appointment. The clerk’s office is unable to assist with the preparation of documents or provide legal advice. Walk-ins and appointments are limited to ½ hour.

Cancellation and No-Show Policies
We understand situations can arise in which you must cancel your appointment. Due to limited appointment availability, we request you cancel within 24 hours. This allows us time to fill that appointment slot.

If you consistently cancel within 24 hours or not show up for your appointments, after the second time, you will only be able to make appointments after approval from the division manager.
