privilege to serve as a judge for nearly twelve years in Solano County which has been my
home for three decades, and where I raised my family and practiced law before becoming a
judge. It was an honor to work daily with court staff who are the most hardworking public
servants I have known. I thank my colleagues for their friendship, collegiality and commitment
to justice and public service. I also thank the dedicated attorneys who volunteer their time
and expertise with patience and good cheer to handle small claims and unlawful detainer
cases as judges pro tem for Solano Superior Court. I’m very proud to have been a member of
a bench which, at the time of my retirement, is one of the most diverse in California, a
reflection of Solano County’s position as the most diverse county in the State. While the work
wasn’t easy, it was always interesting and challenging, and there was never a day that I didn’t
look forward to going to the courthouse.”
Judge Alesia Jones, the Court’s Presiding Judge commented, “Judge Christine Carringer
served as judicial officer in the Family Law and Civil divisions of our court. She was a tireless
bench officer, dedicated to the rule of law. As a judicial colleague, Judge Carringer took the
lead in fostering collegiality and inclusion. She worked tirelessly to organize the Girls on the
Rise events, designed to mentor young women and to encourage them to enter in the field of
law. We will miss Judge Carringer and are honored to have worked with her.”
